Delete your data

This page explains how to delete specific data inside DailyCourse (operated by Balogun Alamin, independent developer) without deleting your whole account.

Delete data inside the app

Every record DailyCourse stores about you is deletable from the app's UI. You don't need to contact us first.

Delete a session

1. Open the session from Timeline (tap a day → tap the session) or Course Detail → History
2. Tap the trash icon at the top-right of the session detail screen
3. Confirm Delete

Deletes that one session locally and from the cloud immediately.

Delete a note

1. Open Course Detail → Notes
2. Long-press the note → Delete, or swipe to reveal the delete action

Archive or delete a course

1. Open the Courses tab
2. Swipe a course row left (archive), or long-press → Archive. Archived courses stop appearing in Today / scheduling / Insights but their sessions are retained in your history.
3. To permanently delete a course and all its sessions and notes: open Profile → Archived courses → long-press the archived row → Delete permanently. (Cascades to sessions and notes.)

Clear the notification inbox

1. Today → tap the bell icon (top right)
2. Tap Clear all

What gets deleted

Action	Deletes
Delete a session	The session row (date, duration, mood, focus score, reflection note) — locally and in the cloud
Delete a note	The note row — locally and in the cloud
Archive a course	Hides the course from active views. Sessions and notes retained.
Hard-delete a course	The course and every session and note attached to it — locally and in the cloud, cascading via foreign key
Clear notification inbox	The list of past in-app notifications on this device only (the log is not cloud-synced)

Retention

• Local copy: deletes from your device immediately on tap.
• Cloud copy (signed-in users): mirrors the local delete within ~2 seconds when you're online; queues and runs on reconnect if you're offline.
• Crash reports: retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days per Google's default policy, then deleted automatically. They do not contain the contents of any session or note.

Request deletion by email

If you can't access the in-app delete actions (e.g., you've uninstalled the app), send a request to the address below from the email on file for your DailyCourse account. Specify what you want deleted — for example "all sessions from before 1 March 2026" or "everything tagged with course X". Requests are processed within 7 days.
