Delete your account

This page explains how to permanently delete your DailyCourse account (operated by Balogun Alamin, independent developer) and the data associated with it.

Two paths are available:

1. Inside the app — fastest, takes 30 seconds
2. By email — for users who have already uninstalled

Option 1 · Delete from inside the app

1. Open DailyCourse
2. Tap Profile (bottom-right tab)
3. Tap Data & privacy
4. Tap Delete account
5. Type delete in the confirmation field
6. Tap Schedule deletion

You'll be signed out immediately. After 30 days your account and all associated data are permanently and irreversibly deleted. You can sign back in any time during that 30-day window to cancel the deletion.

Option 2 · Request deletion by email

If you've uninstalled the app and can't access the in-app flow, send a deletion request to the address below from the email on file for your DailyCourse account. Requests are processed within 7 days.

The pre-filled message reads:

What gets deleted

Data	Deleted?
Your courses, sessions, and reflection notes	Yes — both on your device and in the cloud
Your Firebase Authentication account (email + display name + photo URL)	Yes
Your preferences (theme, quiet hours, notification settings)	Yes (cleared from your device on next launch)
Crash reports tied to your account	Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days per Google's policy, then deleted. These do not contain the contents of your notes or sessions.

Timeline

• Day 0 — You schedule deletion (in-app or by email). Account is marked for deletion and you are signed out.
• Days 1–30 — Grace period. Sign back in to cancel.
• Day 30+ — Account and all associated cloud data are permanently and irreversibly deleted on next housekeeping run.
• Day 90 — Any crash reports tied to the account are deleted from Firebase Crashlytics.

What's not deleted

• If you reinstall the app after deletion and don't sign in, the app's local data on the new install starts fresh — there is no on-device residue from your previous account.
• Anonymized, aggregated statistics that cannot be tied back to you (e.g., total app installs) are retained.
